“Joy To The World”, by Issac Watts 1719, From Handel

Joy to the World, the Lord is come! Let Earth receive her King; let every heart prepare him room, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the Earth, the Savior Reigns! Let men their songs employ; while and floods, rocks, Hills and plains repeat the sounding Joy, repeat the sounding Joy, repeat, repeat, the sounding Joy.

No more let sin and sorrow grow, nor thorns infest the ground; he comes to make His blessings flow

Far as the curse is found, far as the curse is found, far as, four as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and Grace, and makes the nation’s prove

The glories of his righteousness, and wonders of his love, and the wonders of his love, and wonders, wonders, of his love.

There are many versions to come after this beautiful creation, and all of them are beautiful. My favorite version is song by Whitney Houston.

We must never forget, no matter what the holiday is called the birth of our Lord & Savior, “Jesus Christ”.

Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
