Forgiving Self

Acts 26:18

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Today is a day that the lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. We as people need to stop beating ourselves up for mistakes. Yes, you. Whether it be feeling like you failed your kids, your parents, abortion, divorce, cheating, not being supportive of family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers, or just outright not good enough. As much as we want to or try to we can’t help everybody. We are not perfect and never will be; however, we are made perfect in God’s Image. You are perfect just the way you are. Change starts in your heart, the mind, and then you begin to speak life into your circumstance. Do not aim for perfection because you will always beat yourself up because you will not reach the mark. God wants you to know that he forgives you. Is it now up to you to forgive yourself and others? It’s time to be set free and let go of past troubles.

Lord, thank you for giving your only-begotten son that my sins will be forgiven. That you Lord for forgiving me for the countless mistakes I make over and over again. Help me to make better decisions and wiser choices. Help me to learn to forgive myself as I learn from my mistakes just as you forgive me each day. In Jesus’ name, We pray. Amen!
